Destini joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in February 2013. She is a Regional Director with Butterfly Effects overseeing services in Southern California and Arizona.
Destini earned her B.A. at the University of Southern California and her M.A. at the University of the Pacific. Destini received her BCBA certification in 2005.
She has extended knowledge working with children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder including expertise with verbal behavior, DTT, NET, functional analyses, feeding problems, rigidity, and problem behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, property destruction, non-compliance) as well as working in multiple environments.
Destini has experience working with clients with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders ranging in age from 18 months to 65 years old. She also has experience working with families in their homes as well as staff in crisis homes and group homes. She focuses on caregiver training including promoting the growth of the entire family through parent training.
Destini is a member of CalABA and ABAi.
