Amber

M. Ed., BCBA

Amber, M.ED., BCBA joined the company as a BCBA in 2017, servicing Stockton, Ca locations.  She is a Clinical Director overseeing programs and providing supervision including staff and parent training with Butterfly Effects.

Amber earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at CSU Stanislaus and continued to earn her Master’s in Education at the University of Cincinnati.   Amber received her BCBA certification in 2016.

She has knowledge of Functional Communication Training utilizing PECS and verbal behavior, Pivotal Response Training, NET, DTT, desensitization, social skills training, conducting Functional Analysis assessments to reduce maladaptive behaviors such as self-injury, aggression, elopement, self-stimulatory behavior, and noncompliance.

Amber has experience with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder from the ages of 2 years-22 years old. She has started and facilitated a Social Skills group in the area to increase socialization skills among children 6-10 years of age. She has experience working in various settings including ABA centers, in-home services, and school services. Expanding parents’ knowledge in the field of ABA to encourage generalization and continued success in their child’s life is her passion!

Amber is a member of CalABA and ABAI.
