Andrea joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in 2016 servicing Broward and Dade County, Florida. She is a Senior BCBA with Butterfly Effects.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2010 and her Masters of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in 2013.
Andrea is bilingual (Spanish, English, & some American Sign Language). Andrea has had the opportunity to work in three different settings: school, home and clinic. She has experience working with a population from 2 to 20 years of age. She has experience working with severe behaviors and knows how to implement the different blocking techniques. She worked at the Severe Behavior Clinic at Nova Southeastern University with Dr. Charles Mace who is most known for his research on the functional analysis of severe behavior, behavioral momentum, and the matching law.
Andrea believes that if we all work together as a team we will achieve much more than we can ever dream. Helping children and families has always been a passion for Andrea.
