Grissel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wesleyan College in Macon, GA and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Tampa, FL. She completed the required graduate-level course of study for her Masters Level Behavior Analyst Certification under Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz via approved private instruction. Grissel received her BCBA certification in 2004.
As a BCBA, Grissel has experience working in numerous settings including homes, clinics, schools, and in the community. She has provided services to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and behavioral concerns.
Grissel’s primary area of focus has been decreasing inappropriate behaviors, training replacement skills, independent living skills, and social skills. However, she also has substantial experience in early intervention, verbal behavior, and pre-academic skills.
