Michele joined Butterfly Effects as a Senior Consultant in March 2011, servicing the Gulf Coast region of Florida, including Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Manatee, and Sarasota counties. Michele earned her BA in Psychology from Immaculata University in May 1983, her MA in Special Education Behavior Disorders from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in May 1995, her Florida Teaching Certificate in Special Education K-12 in 1993, and her BCaBA certificate in March 2007.
Since 1992, Michele has specialized in the field of autism with experience in verbal language acquisition, severe behavior reduction, community based instruction training, and working with young adults with ASD. She has worked with military families for several years. Her husband is a United State Navy veteran; her daughter and son-in-law are currently active United States Navy. She has maintained her Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education since 1993. Prior to Butterfly Effects, she was with The May Institute as a senior consultant, and Pinellas County School system as a special education teacher specializing in ASD.
Michele is a member of FABA, ABAI, and BABA.
