Sarah Nell joined Butterfly Effects as a Registered Behavior Technician in Columbia, SC in 2015. In July 2017, she became a Senior Supervisor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst serving families in Columbia, SC and the surrounding areas.
Sarah Nell graduated from The University of South Carolina in December 2016 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. Previously, she attended the South Carolina Honors College (c/o 2012) and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and German.
In addition to in-home behavior therapy, Sarah Nell has experience teaching in autism-style supports special education classrooms in Richland School District Two and has worked with learners with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and fragile X syndrome. She also served as a research assistant, studying topics including Functional Communication Training and the relationship between Maternal Anxiety/Depression and infant Fragile X Syndrome.
Sarah Nell is a member of the South Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis, the Association for Behavior Analysis International, and the Council for Exceptional Children.
