Emily, MS, BCBA, LBA joined Butterfly Effects as a part-time behavior technician in 2012 and transitioned to full-time in 2013. She became a Company Trainer in 2015 and a Lead Behavior Technician in 2016. She began her journey as a Senior Behavior Analyst with Butterfly Effects in 2018 and is currently servicing clients at the Butterfly Effects Center in Metairie, Louisiana.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University in Massachusetts. Emily received her BCBA certification in February 2018.
Emily has worked in homes, schools, and clinical settings with children and adults on the autism spectrum ranging in age from 2-18 years-of-age. She has experience teaching verbal behavior, creating behavior reduction programs and implementing replacement behaviors, creating goals for early intervention programs, staff training, and has experience with augmentative and alternative communication.
Prior to working at Butterfly Effects as a registered behavior technician, Emily worked in the school setting in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Middle School special education classrooms.
