Flavia joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in 2012 servicing New Orleans, LA and as a traveling BCBA to other regions. She is a Senior Consultant with Butterfly Effects.
Flavia earned her MS in Education from University of Pennsylvania. Flavia received her BCBA certification in 2004.
She has worked with children and adults across the Autism Spectrum. One of Flavia’s strengths is her education in neuro science, which trained her to identify sensory and cognitive needs in children. Furthermore, Flavia has extensive experience with staff training, conducting functional assessments, and working with children with attention deficit disorders.
Flavia also has experience working with individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, failure to thrive, self-injury, and aggression. Flavia is certified in Professional Crisis management and is working toward becoming a PCM instructor. She has also been a First Aid/CPR instructor in the past.
Flavia is a member of the Louisiana Association for Behavior Analysis, Hawai’ian Association for Behavior Analysis, American Psychological Association , Association for Behavior Analysts – International, and the Optimist Club.
