Miesha MS., BCBA joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in 2019, servicing New Orleans (Jefferson Parish and Jefferson Parish). She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with Butterfly Effects.
Miesha earned her/his Master Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. Miesha also attended Florida Institute of Technology where she completed the master course sequence in ABA to obtain her BCBA certification Miesha received their BCBA certification in 2013.
She has worked in various settings to include school-based, clinical based, and home-based providing ABA services to children and young adult from ages 3-22 years old. Miesha has also worked with young adults and adults ranging in ages 22-65 years old in the group home, community and day program settings.
Miesha has experience with various settings and cites to include school, community and homes with experience and background include beginning my career working as a direct support professional assisting people with development mental disabilities to complete their daily task and activities. Miesha began to practice as BCBA providing behavior analytic services to children and adults in various settings. The behavior analytic scope of services extended to a trainer, to policy and procedure developer, supervisor, risk assessor, and assurance of adequate and quality of services. As a BCBA, Miesha have learned and implemented several organizational and leadership skills, to include implementing behavior techniques such as behavior intervention, training, modeling, plan writing, decreasing inappropriate maladaptive behaviors as well as increasing social appropriate behaviors through implementing the behavior intervention plans, conducting FBA’s, VB-Mapp assessment, ABLLS-R assessments, AFLS and evidence-based behavior assessments. The skills also include having emotional intelligence and management skills to trained staff to implement the behavior and skill acquisitions plans
