Rebecka joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in 2014, servicing the Fayetteville, North Carolina market. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Course Administrator of the Registered Behavior Technician with Butterfly Effects.
Rebecka earned her BS in Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida and MA in Special Education with focus on Autism and Behavior Modification from Ball State University, Muncie Indiana. Rebecka received her BCBA certification in May 2014.
She has research experience in basic behavior analytic research in Parent Training and Compliance Development in children diagnosed with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities like Down Syndrome.
Rebecka has served populations in ranging from early intervention to young adults, focusing on the acquisition of important verbal and functional skills and the reduction of maladaptive behaviors like self injurious behaviors, aggression, elopement, property destruction, and task refusal. She is currently certified in Professional Crisis Management (PCM II). Rebecka also has experience in language assessments (ABLLS, VB-MAPP & AFLS), self help skills and social skills programming, parent/staff training, development and supervision of center, school and home based programs, IEP development, and school consultations.
Rebecka is involved in community outreach events with Autism Speaks and the Ft. Bragg EFMP.
She is fully bilingual in Spanish and English (oral/written) and translates between families during community events, helping build language, social skills and rapport between families.
Rebecka is a member of the North Carolina and Florida Association for Behavior Analysis (NCABA, & FABA), and Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
