Kristin joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA and Clinical Supervisor in 2014, servicing the Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC areas. She is currently an Associate Regional Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Senior Consultant with Butterfly Effects.
Kristin earned her BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis from UNC Wilmington, in Wilmington NC. She received her BCBA Certification in January 2013, and her LPA in February 2014.
Kristin especially enjoys providing Early Intervention services to her youngest clients, and working with school-aged clients to strengthen adaptive skills and reduce problem behaviors. She also enjoys collaborating with other BCBAs on their behavior acquisition and reduction programs in her role as a Clinical Supervisor.
Kristin has experience with basic behavior analytic research in graduate school, as she worked with Dr. Carol Pilgrim, using simple discrimination training and stimulus equivalence procedures to teach math facts to children in a special education classroom. She appreciates the value that translational behavior analytic research brings to applied practice, and has presented posters with data collected at ABAI in Denver, CO and SEABA in Wilmington, NC.
Kristin is a member of the North Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis (NCABA), Southeast Association for Behavior Analysis (SEABA) and Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
