Emily M. Ed., BCBA joined Butterfly Effects as a BCBA in 2018, servicing Raleigh, NC locations. She is a full-time BCBA with Butterfly Effects.
Emily earned her Degree of Special Education, with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2016. In 2017, Emily graduated from Vanderbilt University where she earned her Masters of Education in Special Education, specializing in High Incidence Disorders and Intensive Interventions. Emily also completed her BCBA training at Vanderbilt University. Emily received her BCBA certification in 2018.
She specializes in assessment and reduction of severe problem behavior. During her time at Vanderbilt, Emily worked with children with severe Emotional Disturbance at an alternative placement school setting and children with Autism in a home setting.
Emily taught Special Education in a year-round school, serving grades K through 5. Growing up, Emily trained and competed in Hunter Jumper Equestrian series. For several years she was also a volunteer for a therapeutic horseback riding program, working alongside an Occupational Therapist providing services to children and adults with various disabilities.
Emily is a member of the Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis, ABAI, and the Council for Exceptional Children.
