Lauren joined Butterfly Effects as a BCaBA in June of 2016. She earned her BCaBA certification in 2015, and servicing the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University in 2012 and began taking her BCBA certification classes from Florida Institute of Technology in 2014. She will graduate from Florida Institute of Technology with her Master’s in Professional Behavior Analysis in December 2016 and plans to take the BCBA certification exam in February of 2017.
Lauren began her career in the field of behavior analysis in 2012, where she worked in a private school focusing on teaching children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities utilizing ABA techniques in a 1:1 and group setting. She then began working with an in-home ABA company in 2013, where she gained experience in parent and caregiver training in the home and community setting. She has experience working with all ages of children, ranging from 18 months to 15 years old. She enjoys teaching children communication and daily life skills, and considers her expertise to be in early intervention and development of fundamental learning readiness skills. Lauren also has experience designing verbal behavior programming for elementary aged children
