Our Approach to Care

At Butterfly Effects, we believe that you and your family should be in control of any treatment plan designed to meet the special challenges that a loved one may face ... but that doesn't mean you should be left to fend for yourself.
Always taking a client-centered approach, we have access to the depth of services required to build and enact a plan based entirely on a client's physical, mental, and social needs. We first look to see what any single child or adult is capable of achieving, set the bar high, and then look to provide all the services needed to meet and then exceed expectations, one step at a time.
At Butterfly Effects, we believe that when it comes to the human spirit, anything is possible and that all of our therapeutic, educational, and care services are first and foremost human. To each, we apply full portions of compassion as well as experience and knowledge.
We never pass the buck or leave some problem to the next provider.
As a provider of full life services, we believe that every plan needs to think both of the present and the future. We work with individuals and their families right from birth -- meeting the needs of infants and their families -- and provide continuous life services for toddlers, school aged children, and teens with special needs, as well as those adults and seniors needing complete or some measure of care and support.
All of our services are based on extensive research and honed by the accumulative experience of an international network of licensed and board certified professionals and paraprofessionals that is 300 strong.
Our care model is based on adherence to these concepts:
You don't need to have an official diagnosis before you contact us. You don't need to wait for your child to fall behind. You don't need to wait for an adult's behaviors to become dangerous. With every situation, wait and see is never the right choice.
We offer complete and flexible evaluation services.
With unlimited access to leading professionals in medicine, psychology, and education, we leave no stone unturned in assessing your unique and specific situation. Furthermore, we understand that conditions such as Autism, Alzheimer's, and certain learning disabilities are moving targets that must be continually monitored and reassessed.
Every care plan is customized and none is written in stone.
We never take a cookie-cutter approach. Every plan is the product of intensive collaboration among professionals, clients, and family members and is subject to continual assessment and modification.
We belong to the CentralReach platform, which is helping to pioneer a new age in accountability, collaboration, and communication.
Not satisfied with what's available on the open market, we've worked to create an online platform to meet the needs of families and therapists today. Our platform provides an open two-way channel that invites and facilitates open communication among team members. It also provides access to documentation and progress notes, as well educational opportunities.
Our focus is family-centered.
At Butterfly Effects, we believe that every client can only be as healthy as the family surrounding her or him. To this end, we provide support and therapy services for involved family members, as well as a range of support and respite services that allow your family to keep from being overtaken and defined by a single member's challenge.
No one ever calls us who doesn't need help.
