Social Skills Groups
Small groups put the focus on each child’s development.
Butterfly Effects now offers social skills groups at various locations throughout the country. These groups use evidence-based strategies to help children develop conversation skills, make friends, solve problems and understand the perspectives of others.
Small group settings give children the opportunity to initiate, respond and maintain conversations, greet others, take turns, share, and develop and expand their play skills. A board certified behavior analyst, supported by our expertly trained ABA therapists, leads each group. With an average of just four to five children per group, leaders can focus their attention on modeling, practicing and supporting each individual child in refining their skills.
A social skills assessment may be needed to determine the appropriate skill level and group placement for your child. We are also looking for siblings to act as peers for modeling in our groups. If you’re interested in having your child participate, please contact us for more information.
Costs may be covered through your insurance or on a private pay basis.
