At Butterfly Effects, making a socially significant change in the lives of children and families extends beyond ABA therapy. We want to create opportunities for families to connect, participate, and enjoy their communities together.

We know every child has their own needs, interests, and comfort level. That’s why our fall events are designed with flexibility in mind.

Families can enjoy decorated trunks, games, crafts, non-food treats, family photo opportunities, and plenty of Halloween fun. Activities vary by location, and there’s no pressure to do it all.

Participate your way. Wear a costume—or don’t. Visit every activity—or choose a favorite. Take a break when you need one. Come for the fun and enjoy the event in the way that works best for your family.

Help us make our Trunk-or-Treat extra special for local families! We’re inviting community partners, local businesses, organizations, and friends of Butterfly Effects to decorate a trunk and hand out treats or non-food goodies to children attending the event. Bring your creativity, decorate your trunk in a fun and family-friendly theme, and join us for an evening of Halloween fun and community connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this event free? Yes! This is a free community event hosted by Butterfly Effects. We encourage families to RSVP in advance so we can plan for attendance.
  • Is the event open to the public? Yes! Our Trunk-or-Treat is open to Butterfly Effects families and the surrounding community. You do not need to be a current Butterfly Effects family to attend.
  • Do I need to RSVP? We encourage families to RSVP through Eventbrite so we can prepare for attendance. Please reserve one free ticket for each child attending, see the links above for each event.
  • Is the event sensory-friendly? Yes. We want children and families to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for them. Children are welcome to enjoy as many—or as few—activities as they would like. Activities may vary by event, please review the event link for more details.
  • Will there be non-food treats? Yes! Treats and giveaways may vary by location and may include stickers and fidget toys.
  • Does my child need to wear a costume? Not at all! Costumes are welcome but never required. Children are encouraged to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for them.
  • Will there be activities besides Trunk-or-Treating? Yes! Activities may vary by event, but families can enjoy Fall/Halloween crafts, sensory bins. The event may also include: family photo, games, and decorated trunks to visit.
  • Will goodie bags be available? Yes! Children will receive a goodie bag while supplies last.
  • Can siblings attend? Absolutely! Siblings, family members, friends are all welcome to join the fun!
  • What happens if it rains? For outdoor events, weather-related updates or changes will be communicated to registered attendees through Eventbrite.
  • Can I host a trunk at the event? Please complete the form above and we'll share more details for hosting a trunk at the event.
