a difference for your family.

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, is a scientifically proven method of treatment that helps to change or improve targeted behaviors. ABA teaches children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other development or behavioral disorders how to break down tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. It has proven to be effective in helping to improve skills relating to communicating needs, waiting, making friends, asking for assistance, following instructions and completing tasks.

Can ABA therapy take place anywhere?

ABA services are most effective when they are done within a child’s natural environment. This means that having services done at home, school or within the community is best. This increases the opportunities to teach daily living skills to a child in the places and around the people where he or she needs to utilize the skills the most.

Can I expect ABA therapy to help my child?

ABA therapy services are most effective in children who are impeded in their daily functioning and ability to independently interact with their natural environment. If your child has significant communication, social, adaptive living and behavior deficits, he or she will benefit from ABA services.
