Frequently asked questions
Who do I ask about...?
My child has had their initial assessment. When will services start?
Before services can begin, Butterfly Effects must receive authorization from your family’s healthcare provider, which typically takes 14 to 30 days.
If you’re unsure about the status of your service authorization or would like an update, please reach out to the BCBA who completed your child’s initial assessment or call us at 888-880-9270 and select Option 2. We’re here to help!
Questions about my child’s treatment plan? Progress?
We’re here to keep you informed about your child’s progress every step of the way. Your child’s treatment plan is securely available in the Central Reach parent portal for easy access.
Our BCBAs are committed to meeting with families at least once per month to provide detailed updates on progress. However, if you have any questions or need an update sooner, you can reach out to your BCBA or Regional Director at any time.
For additional assistance, you can contact our Quality Assurance & Compliance Department at (954) 947-3045 or email [email protected]. The QA team will respond within one business day.
We’re here to support you and your child—please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Want to make changes to your child’s treatment plan?
Your child’s treatment goals are regularly reviewed and adjusted to match their unique needs and the priorities of your family.
Our BCBAs aim to meet with families at least once a month to go over session data collected by the Behavior Technician. During these meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to share any new priorities or changes in your child’s circumstances that might require updates to their plan.
We’re here to ensure your child’s treatment plan evolves to support their growth and your family’s goals. Feel free to reach out to your BCBA with any questions or suggestions!
