What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a method of improving or changing targeted behaviors in individuals (mostly children) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other development disorders. The therapy teaches children how to manage complicated tasks by breaking them down into manageable steps. It has been scientifically proven to improve behaviors like communicating needs, waiting, making friends, asking for assistance, following instructions and focusing on a task.
