a difference for your family.
What's ABA therapy?
Applied behavioral analysis, also called ABA, is a clinically proven method for improving social skills and interactive behaviors in children who have developmental conditions such as ASD, or autism spectrum disorder. By reducing complicated tasks to small steps that are easily understood, ABA enables children to improve their social skills and behaviors in areas such as their attention span, following directions, communicating their needs effectively, waiting, and asking for help.

Each child is evaluated to determine their skill areas and the areas that are in need of improvement. Their ABA plan will be tailored to their needs, so there's no specific time frame. Usually, intensive ABA therapy that lasts from 1 to 3 years provides the longest lasting and most significant improvement across multiple areas. Focused treatments provide 10 to 25 hours of ABA treatments that focus on a few specific areas.

ABA therapy can be conducted in a clinic, but many times it's more successful in natural surroundings like home, school, or the community. These types of surroundings can broaden the range of skills that are improved because they're the locations where maladaptive behaviors are generally observed.
Learn moreHow does ABA therapy help my child?
ABA therapy can improve behavioral deficits in adaptive living, communication, and social skills as well as those that are specific to the environment. ABA therapy is individualized to the child, so the areas of improvement will be tailored to their life and lifestyle. It can improve your child's ability to be independent and interact with their environment as well as improve their daily living skills.
