Learn more about ABA therapy in
Santee and how it can make
a difference for your family.

What is ABA therapy?

Designed as a way to reduce behavioral issues in children, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy is evidence-based and is designed to divide specific behaviors into the individual steps required to complete them. Each of these steps is then analyzed and treated as a separate task, which can be adjusted and learned by children with severe behavioral disorders stemming from autism spectrum conditions or other traumatic events. ABA therapists use positive reinforcement as their primary tool for adjusting behaviors and helping children to achieve their full potential.

How can ABA therapy help my child?

Children on the autism spectrum are often good candidates for ABA. These therapeutic methods can help children take the small, comfortable steps necessary to learn to care for their own personal needs, to communicate their thoughts and feelings more appropriately and to avoid behaviors that could prove disruptive or difficult to manage at home or in a school setting.
