New partnership gives Butterfly Effects BCBAs access to advanced education in clinical leadership, supervision, and organizational effectiveness

Butterfly Effects is partnering with Salve Regina University to support employee enrollment in the University’s new Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Leadership in Behavior Analysis.

Butterfly Effects behavior analysts will be part of the program’s first cohort, creating a dedicated pathway for eligible clinicians to strengthen the leadership and supervisory skills that complement their clinical expertise.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing the next generation of clinical leaders in applied behavior analysis while continuing to advance ethical practice, clinical quality, and support for children and families affected by autism.

Developing Clinical Leaders From Within

The need for experienced clinical leaders in behavior analysis continues to grow. As demand for ABA services increases, the field needs behavior analysts who are prepared not only to provide high-quality clinical care, but also to supervise teams, mentor developing clinicians, strengthen organizational systems, and uphold consistent standards across programs.

Through this partnership, Butterfly Effects is investing in the development of current clinicians who are ready to take on greater leadership responsibilities within the field.

“Investing in our clinicians is how we raise the standard of care for the families we serve,” said Steve Woolf, PhD, BCBA-D, President of Butterfly Effects. “This partnership with Salve Regina gives our behavior analysts a structured way to grow as clinical leaders, not just as practitioners. Strong leadership at the clinical level is what sustains quality, consistency, and compassion across every program we run.”

About the Clinical Leadership Certificate

Salve Regina University’s newly launched Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Leadership in Behavior Analysis is designed for practicing behavior analysts seeking advanced development in leadership, supervision, and organizational effectiveness.

The program complements participants’ existing clinical education by focusing on the competencies behavior analysts need when leading clinicians, teams, and service organizations.

Eligible Butterfly Effects employees can pursue the certificate while continuing in their current roles. Butterfly Effects has also designated an internal coordinator to help interested employees access program information, understand enrollment requirements, and navigate next steps.

“The future of behavior analysis depends not only on developing excellent clinicians but also on preparing high-quality organizational and clinical leaders. Salve Regina University’s Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Leadership in Behavior Analysis was specifically designed to help meet that need by providing behavior analysts with advanced training in leadership, supervision, and organizational effectiveness. Butterfly Effects’ commitment to investing in the professional growth of its employees and building leadership capacity within the profession reflects the type of forward-thinking approach I hope to see more providers embrace as our field continues to grow. We are proud to partner with an organization that shares our commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and ensuring that children and families receive the highest quality services possible.” – Cody Morris, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, Associate Professor and Graduate Programs Director of Behavior Analysis, Salve Regina University

Strengthening the Future of Behavior Analysis

Clinical leadership has a direct effect on how organizations support clinicians and maintain quality across programs. Effective clinical leaders must be able to guide decision-making, develop other professionals, manage complex clinical systems, and keep ethical practice at the center of service delivery.

The partnership between Butterfly Effects and Salve Regina University creates a structured opportunity to build those capabilities within the existing clinical workforce.

It also expands Butterfly Effects’ broader investment in professional development and career pathways for behavior analysts, from supervised fieldwork and BCBA exam preparation to advanced clinical and organizational leadership.

Behavior analysts interested in growing their careers with an organization committed to clinical development can explore BCBA career opportunities at Butterfly Effects.

Eligible Butterfly Effects clinicians will be supported through the enrollment process, with additional information about program requirements and next steps provided internally.
